Florida Governor Rick Scott Reaches Out to Trump, not Obama After Shooting
Sat, 07 Jan 2017 23:56:24 +0000
After a shooter opened fire at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Friday, killing at least five people, Florida Governor Rick Scott says he reached out to President-elect Donald Trump but not President Obama.
Governor Scott: I have reached out to President-elect Trump. I have spoken to him and Vice President-elect Pence multiple times to keep them informed. And they told me any resources they need from the federal government they would do everything in their power to make that happen.
He bypassed Obama.
President-elect Donald Trump tweeted that he’s monitoring the “terrible situation” as well, and has spoken with Gov. Rick Scott.
Monitoring the terrible situation in Florida. Just spoke to Governor Scott. Thoughts and prayers for all. Stay safe!
